How Much Weight Can You Lose With African Mango Supplements?

By Lisa McLilly

African Mango supplements are becoming increasingly popular. These all natural weight loss supplements are derived from the seeds of real African Mangos. The active ingredient in these supplements is called African Mango Seed Extract, which is also known as IGOB131. African Mango Seed Extract has recently taken the world by storm because it has been clinically proven to help people lose weight, reduce body fat, increase metabolism and improve overall health.

African Mango Seed Extract most specifically affects a hormone called leptin. This hormone tells the body to stop eating when it has become full. It also helps convert fat cells into energy. As people gain weight, the body begins to ignore the leptin signals which results in overeating and weight gain. This condition is called Leptin Resistance. African Mango Seed Extract works to naturally correct Leptin Resistance therefore resulting in healthy weight loss.

In a noted 10-week double blind study, 102 overweight subjects received either 150mg capsules of African Mango Seed Extract or placebo, twice daily before meals. At the end of 10 weeks, the African Mango Seed Extract group lost an average of 28 pounds, lost 6.7 inches from their waistline and reduced body fat by 18.4%.

Although much of its fame is contributed to its weight loss effects, African Mango recently became popular due to its appearance on Dr. Oz. In May of 2011, Dr. Oz claimed that African Mango Seed Extract could potentially help people "decrease weight and waist circumference." After this statement was made, supplement companies capitalized and consumers went wild.

Many companies use the Dr. Oz name to endorse their product. Some companies even feature his picture on their websites and bottles. They may claim that Dr. Oz endorses their specific African Mango product. This is NOT true. Dr. Oz. never recommends particular brands of products; he simply recommends ingredients that could be beneficial to his viewers. If a product claims to be endorsed by Dr. Oz, it is a scam, plain and simple.

Likewise with all supplements, consumers must read labels in order to find the best African Mango supplement. The best product will contain 100% African Mango Seed Extract (IGOB131) and nothing else. The proven ingredient is the only ingredient an African Mango supplement should contain. Avoid products containing proprietary blends. These blends mask the true amount of IGOB131 a supplement contains. They are also likely to hide a host of unnecessary or artificial ingredients.
