Tim Tebow Could Benefit from Kettlebell Exercises

By Greg Diener

Looking at the playoff loss he had against the New England Patriots, Tim Tebow will have to look at a lot of options to explore. One of them involves his throwing arm, which most experts believe could use a lot of improvement. Of course in the sport of football, any quarterback needs to have the ability to throw the ball across the field a great distance. Maybe one option for Tim Tebow to look at to improve his accuracy lies in kettlebells.

Kettle-bell weights, the metal weights with handles that are noted as a Russian invention, might be a perfect way for Tebow to work on his overall strength and conditioning. The classic Greeks and Romans employed similar weights. Even Chinese monks utilized padlock weights in much the same way as kettlebells are used.

So right as Tebow tries to begin getting started on improving his skills he must have plenty of time available to him in order to complete his exercises. Tebow by working with kettlebells can be able to have tons of strength by using them regularly. Although kettlebells aren't going to help change Tebow's mechanics they could provide an opportunity for him to burn a sufficient amount of calories. Using the kettlebells will have a noticeable impact on Tebow's conditioning from week-to-week.

Even if Tebow goes home and only trains a few times a week with the kettlebells, he'll still be eradicating body fat in his rest thanks to the afterburn effect. This effect burns calories so efficiently that if Tebow decides to bury his sadness in ice cream or cake, he likely won't gain more weight because of the kettlebell afterburn affect.

This football enthusiast was very morose to see Tebow lose against the Patriots. But maybe this will turn out to be a useful thing for him. He can invest his time getting into better shape than ever before, increasing his durability, and come back hungrier. If Tebow Nation wants to contribute to their favorite quarterback's safety, they should send him some kettlebells. At least it'll be something novel, to keep him busy.
