Is the Mediterranean Diet right for me?

Every human being has highs and lows in their life due to their diet and exercise habits. Hollywood has built up this addiction with looking like an Olympian athlete 24 hours a day, with almost every single journal cover presenting a Photoshopped actor or celebrity in all of their falsified glory. Yet despite the fact that we know these types of bodies are bogus and don't really exist, we continue to read guides that feed upon the weak point most individuals have in regards to their figure and the way other individuals see them.

The truth, as they say, is in the pudding. The Mediterranean Diet is made up of numerous whole foods such as extra virgin olive oil, seafood, unpastuerized milk products like yogurt and cheese along with fruit and veggies. As a diet plan and way of life, it hasn't changed much in the past few thousand years since it first began being followed by the early Greeks and Romans. And if it was good enough for them when the Olympic games first began, it's good enough for modern men and women as well.

The energy of The Mediterranean Diet for healthy weight loss, fat reduction and overall health and fitness comes from the fact that it is a 100% organic, 100% whole foods diet plan that doesn't rely on caloric limitations or meal limitations. Instead, you are consuming everything you can get your hands on that your body needs...as long as it's real, natural, 100% whole food that doesn't include coloring, additives, preservatives or any sort of synthetic flavoring or substances added.

Numerous scientists from around the world have examined the strength of the Mediterranean diet in reducing cholesterol, and these studies have all had positive results. Most of these studies have focused on the individual aspects of the diet, such as the intake of copious amounts of virgin olive oil (up to one liter per week) or nuts and seeds (a couple of handfuls per day, or around 30 grams). In comparison, the low-fat diet plans of Hollywood tell you not to touch fats at all, but rather to starve yourself to get skinny. Skinny isn't healthy, is the problem.
