Detox diets also called as cleansing diets, helps in detoxification of body in a natural and healthy way. There are different types of detoxification diets available, short-term or long-term. But the basic concept of each detox diet is that we must include natural foods that are high in proteins, vitamins and minerals.
A healthy detoxify diet should contain fiber rich food. Dietary fiber is very essential for smooth functioning of our digestive system, which helps to remove toxins easily from our body, keeping it healthy. Fibrous foods are fruits, vegetables, nuts, oats, brown rice, wheat etc.

4. FRESH FRUIT DIET- This type of diet is very tasty and fresh. It includes only fresh fruits, as there are so many fruits you can choose from. Eat whichever you like. But citrus fruits are especially beneficial for detoxification, like oranges. This program has no specific day plan. You can follow it for long-term basis also.
5. HALLELUJAH DIET- this is a very specific diet. We have to eat 80% raw, uncooked food and 20% cooked food. No breakfast is a rule. Instead, just drink fresh vegetables juices. The raw foods include fresh fruits, oats, sprouted beans, green mug beans, nuts, muesli, flaxseed oil.
So detox diets are good, but not for every one of us. They are dangerous for medically compromised person, means having serious illness.
